Every few weeks I like to send out a
list of what has been newly-listed on
the market, to give you an idea of
what's out there. This past week

COOL TECH TOOLS TO MAKE YOUR LIFE
EASIER AND MORE FUN
It's amazing how many new and exciting
technology tools are appearing these
days. As I come across these interesting
tools, I will be reporting them in my
newsletters and sharing them with you.
ScanLife
- Barcodes that can be scanned by
your friends' and your customers' cell
phones to do a number of things,
like load your contact information or
web links (to product pages). See an
example in use below, in my e-mail
signature. These bar codes are
starting to appear in magazines and
websites everywhere. The idea is that
when someone sees your contact
information or product information,
rather than having to write things
down, they point their cell phone at
the bar code and the cell phone
records the information. Link:

Paperless Post
- This is truly a cool site. It
allows you to send invitations, thank
you notes and other correspondence, in
a format that looks just like a formal
invitation. You buy 'stamps' and send
these out online. Very presentable,
and your recipients will be
impressed. This technology makes Evite
and other similar tools look like
childs play.
Google Voice
- Google has created an amazing phone
center, for free. You get a phone
number (in your area code) that
becomes your main number. Using their
web control center, you can have calls
to this number redirected anywhere:
cell, home, work. And you can change
this order anytime. Also, when you
get voice mails, they are translated
into text and e-mailed to you. It
also acts as your SMS text center, and
text messages can be forwarded to you
by e-mail. There are many other
features. To get enrolled, you have
to request an invitation.
